This collection documents the financial transactions and specifications by the Boyer Funeral Home, which was established in Dayton, Ohio in the mid-1800s, and which may have been the first undertaking establishment in Dayton. The collection includes Mortuary Records spanning the years 1922-1978. Additional records include account books dating from 1905-1973.

This collection consists of one booklet entitled Boyer Mortuary in the 1913 Dayton Flood. The booklet was written by Chip Boyer and is dated 2002. It consists of seven pages mostly of photos of the mortuary and writing on what the flood damage possibly may have been.

Paper written by Chip Boyer containing information on the Boyer family, famous patrons of the Boyer business, and the families' involvement with the funeral business.

The Clayton J. Brukner Papers document the operation of an airplane manufacturing company, which was located in Troy, during the first half of the 20th century. The Collection consists of business records of the Waco Aircraft Company which was owned by Brukner, and various printed materials relating to aviation, books, journals, yearbooks, etc.

The James A. Chew Papers consist mainly of business records of three area newspapers in the Miami Valley Region: the Xenia Gazette, the Piqua Call, and the Middletown Journal. Headquarters for the Chew Publishing Company was in Xenia, Ohio.

Contains newspaper clippings, circulars, documents, and business correspondence from the scrapbook of Stephen Satterly L’Hommedieu (1806-1875), an early president of the C.H. and D. Railroad. Another group of materials consists of copies of articles from the American Railroad Journal (1847-1855) pertaining to railroads in the Miami Valley area.

The collection consists of thirteen books of financial records dating from 1907 to 1934.
