Scope and Contents

This collection consists of Board of Directors’ minutes for this Dayton-based company which was involved in building and maintaining commercial real estate properties in the Miami Valley region. Also included are the company’s Articles of Incorporation, some correspondence, and legal documents.

Abstract

Lenny Davis operated the Forvm Club (Forum Club) in Dayton from 1965 until 1977. The scrapbooks of this collection contain memorabilia, photos, letters, and newspaper clippings about the club, as well as Lenny’s various performances, both solo and in bands. Additionally, there are many individual photos outside the scrapbooks that further document Lenny’s life and career, as well as club entertainers. Abstract

The Dayton Bicycle Club Records consist of primarily financial records and receipts from the club from the early 20th century. The collection contains receipts from around 500, mostly local, businesses that provide an important record of how business was conducted around the turn of the 20th century. Also included is a limited amount of correspondence relating to club business and the organization of bicycle races.
