Abstract The Walter Matthews Jefferies Aviation Collection consists of more than 15,000 photographs and over 1100 books, pamphlets, and journals. The bulk of the photographs pertain to aviation from the 1930s to the 1960s. Most of the photographs document military aircraft produced by a variety of aircraft manufacturers. Scope and Contents

This collection contains a set of twenty photographic postcards depicting Juan Biélovucic's flights in Peru, around 1910. The photographs include images of his plane on the ground and in flight, as well as images of the San Beatriz Racetrack in Lima, Peru. The postcards are not identified individually.

Abstract James Keen was a newspaper photographer for a number of newspapers throughout the country, including the Dayton Journal-Herald. This collection consists of approximately 9,300 black and white negatives and black and white photographs. These photographs were taken from 1937 to 1946 in and around the Miami Valley, including Dayton, Wright and Patterson Fields and other nearby Ohio areas. Scope and Contents

This collection contains seven aviation-themed stereocards produced by the Keystone View Company. Six of the seven are of airships, including the USS Akron and the Graf Zeppelin.

Collection consists of 1 Scrapbook, containing 42 black and white photos from Abteilung (Detachment) 212 in the German Air Force during World War I. Most of the photographs depicts daily life on base. There are some photos of German and Allied aircraft. There are pictures of Fokker Eindeckers, Rumpler C IV, German observation balloons, and a captured Handley Page 0/400. Title of scrapbook is in German, and there are not captions.

Abstract

This collection documents the aviation careers of early aviator Edward A. Korn and his brother Milton H. Korn. The bulk of the collection is comprised of aviation photographs. It also includes some of Korn's correspondence about his experiences in aviation and selected clippings and articles that were published about him and other early aviators. It also documents Korn's background in farming, including photographs, catalogs, and postcards related to farming and threshing machines.

A collection of portraits, snapshots, tintypes, ambrotypes, carte de visites, stereographs, and glass negatives from an extended family in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Subjects include family groups, the Carr Nursery, Antioch College, and a set of autographed portraits and faculty at Ohio Wesleyan College in the 1870s.

Abstract

Collection of photo postcards depicting several flights of the Lebaudy-Julliot airship in and around Paris in November 1903. Very little has been written about the Lebaudy airship, one of the first successful dirigibles. This collection of postcards provides good documentation of its early flights.
