91st Observation Squadron, American Expeditionary Force, Photographs
322nd Field Artillery Reunion Association Records
The 322nd Field Artillery received basic training at Camp Sherman in Ohio, and saw service in Europe during World War I. The records in this collection are evenly divided between the active regiment and the reunion association. They consist of minutes, correspondence, reunion programs, bulletins, obituary notices, scrapbooks, maps, and photographs. Also included is a published history of the regiment.
322nd Field Artillery Scrapbooks (MFM-27)
Scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings, photographs, the typescript of a diary, and postcards pertaining to the 322nd Field Artillery, a World War I regiment from Dayton. See also MS-100.
1814 Niles Weekly Register (SC-291)
Collection consists of one issue (April 9, 1814, No. 6, Vol. VI) of the Niles Weekly Register. The Niles Weekly Register was one of the most widely read newspapers of its day and provides a great deal of primary source documentation on the War of 1812. This issue is significant in that on page 102, there is an article detailing the federal government's attempt to enlist Native American tribes in Ohio to fight against the British. It mentions Dayton, Piqua, Blue Jacket and Tecumseh.
1913 Dayton Flood Survivors Oral Histories
The1913 Flood Survivors Oral Histories is a collection of video oral history interviews with survivors of the 1913 Dayton Flood. The videos were made in the 1990s and the participants tell their stories of survival as children during the flood.
1913 Flood Postcards (SC-221)
The collection consists of 56 postcards depicting the 1913 Dayton flood and its aftermath. Some of the postcards are real photo postcards. The information provided for each item is the caption on the postcard for 1-49, postcards 50-56 have no caption and the information is provided by processor. Six more postcards were added to the collection in July 2010, #57-62. They are identified by their captions, except the final one, which remains unidentified.
1932 Frigidaire Warranty (SC-290)
This small collection consists of a 1932 Frigidaire warranty for the "all-white Porcelain Frigidaire, Models W-3, WA-3, W-4, WA-4, W-5, W-6, W-10, W-12, and W-18..." In addition to the warranty the company envelope in which it came is also included.
1937 Flood Scrapbook (MS-663)
The collection contains a scrapbook featuring newspaper clippings (articles, photographs, and advertisements) reporting the impact of the 1937 Ohio River flood on Cincinnati, Ohio, and surrounding areas in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. It also contains a special edition Cincinnati Times-Star newspaper about the flood.
A Special Wish Foundation Records
A Special Wish Foundation, Inc. was the first wish-granting organization in the State of Ohio and the third such organization in the nation, when it was founded in 1982. This records collection largely contains the meeting minutes from 1989-2011, media coverage from approximately 2000-2009 and photographs from numerous wishes. The collection also contains audio-visual media including pictures, negatives, VHS, CDs, and DVDs.
