Abstract

The Miles S. Kuhns Papers consist mainly of correspondence related to Kuhns' political career. It contains many lobbying letters from citizens and organizations. Almost half of the collection relates to Kuhns' work with the Ohio Revolutionary War Memorial Commission. A third section consists of personal correspondence and ephemera Kuhns received throughout his career.

Abstract The League of Women Voters was founded in 1920, the year American women were granted the right to vote by the passage of the 19th Amendment. The League has since grown into a nationwide organization that works to promote political responsibility on the part of all citizens. Abstract

The United Way of the Greater Dayton Area (UWGDA) was founded shortly after the 1913 flood. The United Way fundraises through workplace payroll deduction campaigns, in support of local nonprofit affiliates, to support health and human services agencies. The collection includes minutes, financial records, news clippings, press releases and newsletters, camapaign marketing materials and reports, agency directories, photographs, and audiovisual materials.

Abstract The Woodland Cemetery Collection contains materials relating to the organization and business ventures of the Woodland Cemetery Association.
