Biographical / Historical

Materials in this collection pertain to the ancestors of the donor, David C. Martin. The Martin family records come from his father’s side, and the Swank family records are from his mother’s side. One of Martin’s ancestors, Hiram Swank, appears to have been a railroad worker.

This collection was donated to Special Collections and Archives by the Ohio Historical Society on April 30, 2003. The materials were originally donated to the Ohio Historical Society David C. Martin, a descendant of the family members in the records, on March 30, 2003.
