Area Progress Council Records
The Area Progress Council was formed in 1961 with the common concern for the progress of the Miami Valley. The Council was instrumental in the establishment of Wright State University and its medical school. This collection contains administrative materials, primarily meeting minutes, presentations, reports, and correspondence; and financial records, including budgets and annual financial summaries.
Dayton Women's Liberation Records
Records consist of a fairly complete run of the organization's newsletter which gives information about the group's meetings and activities and includes short articles discussing the politics and ideology of the Women's Movement. In addition, the collection contains leaflets, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and other printed materials.
Four Seasons Garden Club Records (MS-131)
The Four Seasons Garden Club is an organization founded in 1928 to raise money for beautification projects around the Dayton area. The collection contains meeting minutes, membership directories, reports, financial records, correspondence, program files, scrapbooks, and photographs.
Public Opinion Center (Dayton, Ohio) Records
The Public Opinion Center Records contains surveys conducted in the Dayton area between 1970 and 1975. The breadth of the surveys is wide covering topics on schools, government, housing, health, and a number of other social, political, and economic issues. Some surveys contain the full raw dataset while others in the collection are summaries compiled by the center for public release.
Special Libraries Association, Central Ohio Chapter Records
Collection contains some materials which pertain to the National Special Libraries Association, however, most material deals with the activities of the local Central Ohio Chapter, previously named the Dayton chapter. Included are chapter by-laws, minutes, workshop and conference reports, bulletins, financial records and printed materials.
A Special Wish Foundation Records
A Special Wish Foundation, Inc. was the first wish-granting organization in the State of Ohio and the third such organization in the nation, when it was founded in 1982. This records collection largely contains the meeting minutes from 1989-2011, media coverage from approximately 2000-2009 and photographs from numerous wishes. The collection also contains audio-visual media including pictures, negatives, VHS, CDs, and DVDs.
Dayton Liederkranz-Turner Collection (MS-480)
The Dayton Liederkranz-Turner Collection documents the experience of German-Americans for over one hundred years going back to 1890 through 2007. The evolution of the organization reflects both local and national changes. The activities and goals of the Dayton Chapter, as well as their involvement with other chapters, is documented. The collection includes organization histories, meeting minutes, financial records, correspondence, membership records, publications, and programs.
Ohio Masonic Home Materials (SC-289)
This small collection consists of five printed items from the Ohio Masonic Home.
Oregon Historic District Society Records
The Oregon Historic District Society was formed in 1973. The constitution for the society reads, in part, "To create a sense of community; to help make neighborhood life secure and comfortable; to establish an atmosphere in which to live, work and recreate ourselves." This collection contains administrative paperwork, photograph slides, compact discs, DVDs, newspaper articles, tour pamphlets, maps, licenses, permits, zoning issues, parking issues and neighborhood rehabilitation plans.
