Scope and Content
Series 1, Correspondence, contains thank you notes and other correspondence from scholarship recipients and their universities, from 1986-1990.
Series 2, Publications, contains copies of The Wheel, the educational journal of Delta Omicron, covering the years 1964-1982. They contain articles on information related to the fraternity, its members and patrons, collegiate and alumni chapters, special events, awards, and music-related articles of interest to musicians. This series also has one copy of The Whistle, the Alumni Newsletter, dated May 1976, and is geared to the interests of alumni-at-large members.
Series 3, Scrapbooks, contains 18 scrapbooks covering the yearly happenings and activities of the Zeta Chi Alumni Chapter and its members. They begin in 1966 with the founding of the chapter, and continue through to 2006. Each scrapbook contains programs, photographs, certificates, clippings from newspapers and magazine articles, as well as correspondence.

History of Zeta Chi Alumni Chapter of Delta Omicron Music Fraternity Scrapbooks
Delta Omicron International Music Fraternity is a professional fraternity in the field of music with collegiate chapters established throughout the United States and abroad. The fraternity was founded in 1909 at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music by three undergraduate students. The Founders were Hazel Wilson, Lorena Creamer, and Mable Dunn. Delta Omicron is the only organization of its kind founded by students for students. From 1909 to the present, twenty-six Delta Omicron national presidents have guided the fraternity to achieve and fulfill its purposes and objectives.
Located in the Greater Dayton area, the Zeta Chi Alumni Chapter was founded on February 14, 1967, at the Patterson Memorial Center. They started with 23 members and have grown to more than 50. Members are active in the Dayton Arts community, participating in various concerts and programs. They also regularly meet as a chapter, and with current collegiate Delta Omicron chapters.

Abstract
This is a collection consisting mainly of scrapbooks covering the chapter's activities from its beginning in 1966 through to the present. Included in the scrapbooks are programs, photographs, certificates, clippings from newspapers and magazine articles, as well as correspondence. There are copies of the fraternity publications of The Wheel and The Whistle, and correspondence consisting mainly of thank you notes.

Accruals may continue to come in periodically.
Processing Information
A few of the scrapbooks have had their bindings removed for preservation purposes, and have been interleaved with acid free paper. All of the scrapbooks have been placed into boxes. Two of the scrapbooks were too big for one box, and have been separated into two boxes.
