Dayton Gospel Mission Records
Consists of records from the Dayton Gospel Mission while under the leadership of Frederick S. Hixon. Included are some of Hixon's sermons and poems, Sunday school records, attendance and financial records, a building ledger, service records, flyers, and photographs.
International Stereotyper’s and Electrotyper’s Union, Local 114 Records (MS-22)
The collection includes minutes of regular and special meetings, financial records, correspondence, negotiation and arbitration records, agreements, grievances, and union literature. Members of Local 114 worked in Dayton at McCall's, the National Cash Register Company (NCR), Dayton Electrotype, and Matsand Molds, Inc.
Judge Merritt E. Schlafman Papers (MS-3)
Merritt Schlafman was a judge in Dayton, Ohio, during the 1930s and 1940s. His papers contain transcripts of trials broadcast from his courtroom, mostly on gambling offenses.
Lester L. Cecil Lincoln Collection (MS-7)
Judge Cecil's collection of Abraham Lincoln memorabilia contains pamphlets and clippings concerning Lincoln and his administration, letters from the members of Lincoln's cabinet including William Seward and Gideon Welles, photographs and prints of Lincoln and his family, and other miscellaneous items.

Bill Garlow Photographic Negatives Collection (MS-665)
Bill Garlow was an award-winning staff photographer for the Dayton Journal-Herald and later Dayton Daily News for over 40 years, from the mid-1960s to mid-2000s. The collection consists of thousands of film negatives (mostly 35mm), spanning a wide variety of topics, people, places, and events. The materials are arranged chronologically.
Dr. Arthur E. Thomas, President Emeritus, Central State University, Collection (MS-667)
The collection contains personal papers, legal documents and court proceedings, photographs, audio and video recordings, news clippings, awards and certificates, correspondence, and other materials relating to Dr. Thomas’s life and career in education and civil rights activism. The collection includes a significant amount of analog audiovisual material, including recordings of most episodes of Thomas’s interview program “Like It Is.”
