Scope and Contents

Robert Henn was the pilot for WHIO Airscout and WING Skywatch from 1980-1995. The collection consists mainly of aerial photographs (all 35mm slide format) of the Dayton metropolitan area, including especially Trotwood, Brookville, and downtown Dayton. Photos (non-aerial) of aircraft on display at the Dayton Air Show are also included. Most slides are identified at the item level by the creator, with a description and date written on the slide.

Biographical / Historical

Robert L. Henn was the pilot for WHIO Airscout and WING Skywatch from 1980-1995. He worked with traffic reporters Lt. Dick Stamm, Lt. Tom Mundy, and Sgt. Mark Bowren. During those years, he photographed much of the Dayton and surrounding areas. Mr. Henn was born in Montgomery County, Ohio, 1935. At the time of donation, he resided in Lebanon, Ohio, with his wife Margaret.
