Biographical / Historical

Jeremy Carl Frederick, a Dayton-area musician, Beavercreek High School graduate (class of 1991), and Wright State University student, was born December 9, 1972. From his youth, he enjoyed performing and telling jokes. An early performance, according to his obituary in the Dayton Daily News, was drumming with Tyler Trent at “a junior high talent contest”. Frederick went on to create and perform with a number of local bands including Enon, Sunken Giraffe, Tribal Nation, Cigarhead, Lazy, Dirty Walk, Let’s Crash, and Human Reunion, many of which appear on the advertising posters in this collection. Frederick died on August 16, 2012. A number of Frederick’s friends and acquaintances were also Dayton musicians. For example, the news clipping notes that several “Enon” band members Frederick performed with, including Tyler Trent, had also performed with bands like “Brainiac” and “Lab Partners”, both of which appear on the posters in the collections. His best friend Tim Taylor, may also have been connected to the Dayton-area music. Source: Jeremy Carl Frederick obituary, Dayton Daily News, August 23, 2012
