John Houser Aviation Prints
The collection contains three different sets of aviation art prints collected by John Houser: 10 prints from the Phillips Petroleum Company Historical Aviation Reprints of WWI and WWII aircraft, circa 1960s; 4 prints from the Edo Floater Collector Series depicting floatplanes from 1929 and 1933; and 42 offset lithographs of WWI planes and pilots from the Leach Corporation Heritage of the Air Collection copyrighted from 1959-1969.
Robert Henn Aerial Slide Collection (MS-613)
Robert Henn was the pilot for WHIO Airscout and WING Skywatch from 1980-1995. The collection consists mainly of aerial photographs (all 35mm slide format) of the Dayton metropolitan area, including especially Trotwood, Brookville, and downtown Dayton. Photos (non-aerial) of aircraft on display at the Dayton Air Show are also included. Most slides are identified at the item level by the creator, with a description and date written on the slide.
Rudi Berndt Papers (MS-632)
Berndt was a German scientist who came to the U.S.A. as part of Operation Paperclip at the close of WWII. His collection primarily documents his work in parachute development, in both Germany and the United States, from the WWII era through the Cold War. Materials include photographs, scientific test notes, educational records, security investigation reports, German identification papers, resumes, memoir, and other documents.
A Photographic Portfolio of Huffman Flying Field (MS-631)
The collection consists of 11 platinum palladium prints of photographs created at Huffman Prairie, featuring flight and architecture. This portfolio is limited edition set #1 out of 16 sets created.
Malstrom Collection Early Aviation Photographs (SC-322)
The collection consists of approximately 39 photographs and 1 program, mostly related to early aviation (1910s-1920s). Subjects include: Mitchel Field and Hazelhurst Field, both in New York; Annapolis Naval Academy; demolition bombing of ships by the Army Air Service; Van Courtland Park; and aerial stunts. Many are U.S. military photographs.

Frederick L. Haines Flight Logs (SC-338)
This collection consists of three pilot’s flight logs containing the flight information of Frederick L. Haines, a lifelong resident of Miamisburg. Haines started flying in a WACO in 1932 and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Haines logged most of his hours from airports around the Miami Valley, including East Dayton Airport, Vandalia, and Springfield.
Charles A. Hunn Collection (SC-10)
This collection consists mainly of photos with some paperwork. The items relate to Charles's time in the Ohio National Guard guarding the Mexican Border (1916-1917), as well as his service in the American Expeditionary Forces during World War I (1917-1919), and to a lesser extent his career as a commercial artist. It contains several photographs, as well as some personal letters and military records.
