Paul Katz Papers
The collection consists of materials relating to Katz's long career as a musician, composer, teacher, and conductor. Katz organized the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra in 1933 and held the post of Musical Director until he retired in 1975. Papers in this collection include personal correspondence, conductor scores, photographs, clippings, speeches, and articles by Katz. Also included are audio recordings of performances and interviews by Dr. Katz and his wife Phyllis Katz.
Eric Ernst Kohlhagen Papers (SC-374)
Eric Kohlhagen was a German Jew and dentist who survived more than 6 years in various concentration camps, including Auschwitz, before escaping and immigrating to the United States. He wrote an extensive and detailed memoir about his experiences in the camps. The collection includes copies of the memoir, correspondence, education documents, newspaper clippings, and a few photographs.
Art Krieger Aviation Collection
The Art Krieger Aviation Collection is the personal collection of Adolph (Art) Krieger. This collection contains materials from all over the world on nearly every kind of plane and building company, pilots, handbooks and manuals along with various other items about aviation. Emphasis is on the 1940s through the late 1980s.
William C. Lambert Papers
Papers include correspondence, photographs, drawings, and printed materials pertaining to Lambert's military service as a World War I flyer. Also included is a copy of Lambert's manuscript relating his combat experiences.
Louis Lott Architecture Negatives (SC-381)
The collection consists of approximately 632 film negatives depicting houses, buildings, churches, historic sites, and architectural details in the United States and Europe.
Martini Church of Christ Records (MFM-54)
Originally known as the German Evangelical Protestant St. Martin's Church of Lick Run, the Martini Church of Christ was founded in 1851. This collection contains two volumes of records. The first lists baptisms, confirmations, marriages, funerals, and communicants. The second is a transcription of funeral records from the first volume. All records are in German until 1913. This is a Cincinnati church.
North German Lutheran Church Records (MFM-88)
Contains eleven volumes of Cincinnati church records which were written in German script until 1923. Included are records of baptisms, confirmations, marriages, and funerals, as well as meeting minutes and membership lists. The North German Lutheran Church was also known as the German Evangelical Lutheran Reformed Church.
