Abstract

Dayton Alumnae Panhellenic Association (DAPA), founded in 1931, is a Dayton-based organization, affiliated with the National Panhellenic Conference. Membership is composed of representative alumnae from all 26 NPC member groups represented throughout the Dayton area. The collection includes administrative, financial, and event files.

Abstract

The Friday Afternoon Club was founded in 1893 as a literary club for women in the Dayton area. Aside from academic and literary studies, the Friday Afternoon club also enjoys social events such as lectures, plays and picnics. Still in existence, the club meets every other Friday at the homes of its members. The collection consists of minutes and membership rosters, financial records, yearly programs, and scrapbooks.

Content Description The Horace Wright Papers consist primarily of albums with photographs, clippings, and mementos documenting both Horace’s life and activities, as well as commemorations of the accomplishments of Horace’s uncles, Wilbur and Orville Wright.Materials pertaining specifically to Horace's life and activities include childhood photographs; Horace’s education at Moraine Park School, studies at Miami University, and honorary degree from Wright State University; fishing and boating at...
