The collection consists of a written narrative history of the Amcast Industrial Corporation, written by Phyllis Naylor (Director of Corporate Communications), titled, "Amcast Industrial Corporation: The First 133 Years, 1866-1999." A cover sheet for an interoffice communication from Phyllis Naylor to Doug Wattsabout the history document is also included.

Biographical / Historical

Amcast Industrial Corporation was formed in the 1980s following a restructuring of Dayton Malleable Inc. Amcast filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2004.manufactures technology-intensive metal products. The Company offers products in a variety of shapes, sizes, and metals for sale to the automotive, construction, and industrial markets.

The Amcast Company History was donated to Wright State University Libraries' Special Collections and Archives by Terry Akers, a former Amcast employee, in June 2019.
