High Acres was the Dayton home built for the President of the Rike-Kumler Department Store, Frederick Rike, and his wife Ethel in 1929. It was designed by Cleveland architects Meade and Hamilton and the grounds were designed by Dayton landscape architect Samuel D. Zehrung.
