Biographical / Historical
By way of explanation, the following message was included in the donation letter in 2006, written by Webster J. Jones:
"I think that my father was hoping to generate interest to have some kind of exhibit on the Wright Brothers at the second year of the Chicago World's Fair in 1934 by writing the enclosed article on the Wright Brothers. He evidently did not succeed.
"I am also enclosing the best copy of the paper my father wrote on the troubles that the Wright Brothers had in obtaining patent protection from the government. Also in the envelope are letters of correspondence that my father had about this. In a smaller envelope is a letter from O.W. Storey from Burgess Labs for whom I believe that my father did work for many years. I trust all these things will enhance your research."
