Series I (Administrative) is composed of EDHOC's administrative records from the years 1972 to 1996. These documents include the organization's by-laws, articles of incorporation, history, and board meeting minutes, as well as guides for state housing programs.
Series II (Financial) includes two files of financial records, primarily from the mid-1980's, namely financial statements and treasury reports.
Series III (Membership Activities) documents the membership activities of the organization from 1982 to 1991. These files include membership rules, organizational charts, rosters, resignation letters and photographs.
Series IV (Correspondence) consists of EDHOC correspondence from 1969 to 1996.
Series V (Properties) contains files relating to EDHOC's individual properties which are arranged by address (house number and street name- alphabetically). The materials in these files include primarily general warranty deeds and leases, with one file of photographs.
Series VI (Related Housing Groups) includes a number of files with materials relating to other housing organizations in the Dayton area with which EDHOC affiliated or collaborated on housing projects. Some of these groups include the Eastern Area Council (from which EDHOC stemmed in 1972), Neighborhood Development Corporation, and the Southeast Dayton Neighborhood Development Corporation.

History of East Dayton Housing Opportunities Corporation
The East Dayton Housing Opportunities Corporation (EDHOC) was founded in 1972 as a product of the Eastern Area Council Housing Committee and the East Dayton Church Cluster. Founding members included community leaders and activists and local clergymen. EDHOC functioned under the administration of a president, Board of Trustees and a treasurer through 1996. The corporation provided low-income housing for selected families in the East Dayton community, assisting their clients in becoming home owners through permanent financing and property rehabilitation. By the late 1980's, the success of the organization led to the board decision to increase the number of clients, the area of service and the methods of operation. A number of property renovation projects were also completed in the early 1990's as a result of this expansion.
