Trotwood Women's Club Records

Abstract

The collection includes minutes, treasury reports, program information, certificates, newspaper clippings, and a few photographs from the Trotwood Women's Club of Trotwood, Ohio. These items were collected by members of the Trotwood Women's Club and relate to the club's activities and community involvement from its creation in 1936 to 2011. The club is still active in the community today.

The collection contains 30 blueprints for renovations of four school buildings in Preble County’s Twin Valley Local School District: North High School (Lewisburg), Lewisburg Elementary School, Verona Elementary and Junior High School, and South High School (West Alexandria). They include floor plans, exterior views, and plans about heating, plumbing, and lighting.

Abstract

Carl Ultes, Jr. was an attorney, businessman and civic leader in Springfield, Ohio who eventually took over the O.S. Kelley Company from his father-in-law, O.W. Kelly. The collection consists of business papers, correspondence, news clippings, pamphlets, legal case files as well as materials relating to Ultes's memberships in various civic organizations, and his interest in stamp collecting.

The letter describes the conditions and activities aboard the transport ship U.S.S. Aeolus, on which he is travelling, as well as the writer’s duties while he is aboard.
