Inland Children's Chorus Collection
The Inland Children’s Chorus was sponsored by the Inland Manufacturing Division of the General Motors Corporation from 1936-1970 and open to children (ages 8-16) of Inland employees. The Chorus was a unique contribution by American industry to young people, the community, and the performing arts. The collection includes programs from their concerts, photographs, books, newspaper and periodical clippings, certificates, and memorabilia all donated by former members of the Chorus.
International Aero Vehicle Company Records (SC-389)
The International Aero Vehicle Company was incorporated in 1906 for the purpose of acquiring patents for the Charles Oliver Jones "orthopter" (ornithopter). Local 804 was organized in 1937 to represent the workers at the Leland Electric Company in Dayton, Ohio. Records include membership meeting minutes, Executive Board and Labor-Management meeting minutes, contract negotiations, the records from organizing campaigns in several small plants in Dayton, correspondence, grievances, union bulletins, membership lists, and files on various subjects including the Communist controversy in the Dayton labor movement during the late 1940s.
