Scrapbook 2, 1955-2003, Undated

The collection consists of 3 scrapbooks focused primarily on the activities of the Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association and, to a lesser extent, the life and work of Esther Hofferbert herself. Alumni Association materials include reunion planning documents, lists of alumni, correspondence and updates from alumni, photographs, newspaper clippings and obituaries, newsletters, and programs. Of particular note is the Alumni Association’s Centennial Celebration (1903-2003) publication, at the end of Scrapbook 2, which includes a detailed history of the school and the alumni association. Materials pertaining to Esther Hofferbert specifically include biographical information, as well as documents (including grade cards) and mementoes from her time as a student nurse in the early 1950s. Materials in the scrapbooks remain in the original order in which they were received, and date from 1952 to 2016.
