Scope and Contents

Series I: Documents includes several types of documents and is subdivided into three subseries:

Subseries IA: Activities and Events contain Columbus Day dinner dance information and pamphlets. It documents celebrations by the lodge like mother’s day, Italia Bella, regional events and spaghetti dinners.

Subseries IB: Administration contains planning for events around Columbus Day and sporting events relating to Italian immigrant culture. There are rules and ritual books for the Pirelli Lodge and the Sons of Italy, with one book going back to the Lodge's founding. Advertising and finances for the Lodge and its events are also included.

Subseries IC: General History has newspaper clippings and biographies regarding members of their lodge.

Series II: Photographs, includes digital and analog pictures from the Pirelli Lodge activities and events, like Bocce, the Kettering Holiday Home Parade, Halloween, a building dedication, and Columbus Day celebrations.

Series III: Oral Histories, includes video and audio oral history interviews with Lodge members Joe DeSaro, Pete Lanasa, Stan Palmiere, and Christine Folino. The interviews were conducted by Gino Pasi and Michael Moss. There is also a video history of the Lodge created by Moss, based on the interviews.
