Scope and Content
The D.L. Stewart Papers document popular culture and local news stories in Dayton. Through these papers, researchers may gain insight into current events for the past thirty-six years.
Series I, newspaper column, contains thirty-six years of D.L. Stewart's column in the Dayton Daily News. From 1975 to 1987 the column was called "Off the Beat" and sometimes billed as "Off the Road" and "At the Convention" for specialty pieces. Since 1988, the column did not have a name. The collection has remained in original order, and the folder divisions were named by the creator, such as syndicated, non-syndicated, family, and non-family.
