Native Plant Society of the Miami Valley Records contains organizational documents including: Constitution and By-Laws, amendments, Code of Ethics, meeting minutes, membership rosters, newsletters, brochures, correspondence, newspaper articles, project records, 35 mm color slides, color photographs, posters, and electronic data from 1986-2007.

Series I, Administrative, includes founding documents, meeting minutes, lists of officers, membership rosters, and timelines of upcoming events. Meeting minutes are organized by their verbatim title, e.g Board, Regular, and General. This is the largest series in the collection.

Series II, Communications, includes correspondence, newsletters, invitations, brochures, flyers, and educational materials. Some materials in this series are available in electronic format. Materials in this series are arranged by subject and then by date from 1986 to 2007.

Series III, Little Beaver Creek Prairie, includes correspondence, handwritten notes, press releases, flyers, meeting minutes, color photographs, 35 color mm slides, and negatives pertaining to the establishment and preservation of the Little Beaver Creek Prairie wetlands. The bulk of the correspondence is between the Native Plant Society of the Miami Valley board member Mark Ray and Woolpert, an architecture, engineering, and geospatial company with which he was associated. Materials in this series are arranged subject and then by date from 1986 to 2000.
