Abstract
Founded in 2003 by Thomas C. Cecil, the Lincoln Society of Dayton seeks to encourage the appreciation of the 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, and the role that he played in American History and Society. This culminated in a fundraising effort to erect a statue of Lincoln at the Dayton Courthouse, which was accomplished in 2016.
