Materials include business letters, circulars, stockholder notices, and pamphlets, dating from 1849 to 1862, and one report from 1909. The circulars range from the very first information concerning the breaking of ground for the railroad to other stockholder news. Also contained in this series is an original first passage ticket for the railroad dating to 1851.
