Content Description The collection consists primarily of 28 aviation prints from Leach International’s advertising art series “Heritage of the Air,” commemorating WWI era planes, pilots, and events. Collection of photo postcards depicting several flights of the Lebaudy-Julliot airship in and around Paris in November 1903. Very little has been written about the Lebaudy airship, one of the first successful dirigibles. This collection of postcards provides good documentation of its early flights.

The Quiet Birdmen Book contains 640 photographs of "Quiet Birdmen" members displayed on 160 pages. The Quiet Birdmen is one of the oldest continuously functioning aviator organizations in existence, with its roots in the 1920s. Included in the book are photographs of such pilots as H.H. "Jimmie" Doolittle, E. E. "Pop" Cleveland, Roscoe Turner, Walter R. Brookins, Wiley Post, E.V. "Eddie" Rickenbacker, and C.A. "Slim" Lindbergh.
