Records consist of minutes of official church boards, reports, financial records, marriage, baptismal, and membership rolls, weekly church programs, publications, women's and youth organization materials, newspaper clippings, historical files, and photographs.

The two reels of microfilm are of Baptism records (1851-1982), Confirmation records (1856-1961), Death records (1852-1982), Marriage Records (1852-1982), and Communication Records (1883-1940) at St. John's United Church of Christ, Dayton, Ohio.

Abstract This collection documents over one hundred and fifty years of the church, from its beginnings around 1840 as The German Evangelical Church, then as the German Evangelical Lutheran Church of Dayton, then St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church to its modern iteration as the St. John’s United Church of Christ.
