Abstract
The Drew Taylor Aircraft Collection contains a variety of photographs and documents on United States Air Force aircraft, primarily from the mid-twentieth century. The collection contains photographs, negatives, articles, perspective drawings, and technical information on each airplane. The collection also includes a flight manual from 1965, a 1974 Aerospace Information Handbook on Air Force vehicles, and a booklet on Air Force Aces.

Sir Frank Whittle invented the jet propulsion engine, proposing the use of the gas turbine for jet propulsion in 1928. He patented his idea in 1930. The first jet aircraft flew in 1941.
