Abstract
The collection consists of photographs once belonging to Glenn Curtiss (1878-1930), world famous aviator and early aircraft designer. The photographs document Curtiss' early aviation involvements and include images of Curtiss and other aviators of the period, aircraft he designed and built, hydroplane experiments, and photographs of the Curtiss factory in Hammondsport, New York.

Abstract
The Glenn Curtiss Collection of Early Aviation Photographs contains 174 photographs and photographic postcards showing the development of Glenn Curtiss' aviation and aircraft construction careers between 1908 and 1915. Landmark events in Curtiss' career, such as the 1910 Euclid Beach flight in Cleveland and the 1914 rebuild of the Langley Aerodrome, are featured in the collection.
