William F. Yeager Aviation Collection

Abstract William F. Yeager was a military and commercial pilot, as well as an aviation photographer and collector who owned an aviation photography business. The collection consists of information about Yeager's WWII experience as a B-25 pilot in North Africa and his post-war flying experience as an Air Force and commercial pilot. Yellow Springs Community Council Records (MS-566)

Abstract

The Yellow Springs Community Council (YSCC) was an umbrella organization under the United Way of Dayton. The United Way of Dayton would allocate money to the YSCC and, in turn, the YSCC would disseminate that money to the smaller non-profits in Yellow Springs. Materials include bylaws, meeting minutes, financial statements, balance sheets, funding requests, and both internal and external correspondence.

Abstract

The papers in this collection cover the years 1968-1976 when Young served as a State Representative from Dayton to the Ohio General Assembly. The majority of the papers consist of correspondence with constituents and political colleagues. There are also working papers, clippings, reports, speeches, and campaign materials. There is also a file of correspondence and photographs on the 1970 Kent State University incident.

Margaret Shardelow Young Papers

Abstract

Dayton native, Margaret Shardelow Young, was a member of the Friday Afternoon Club, one of the city's oldest women's literary clubs. She was also a local school teacher and long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Dayton. The collection includes her Friday Afternoon Club writings, schoolbooks, teaching notes, photographs, and greeting cards with her original poetry.
