A Dayton native, Barrett was a toolmaker, technical writer, teacher, and political activist involved in labor organizing in the Miami Valley area. He also founded and directed the Labor Studies Department at Sinclair College. His papers include materials pertaining to his labor organizing efforts, his newspaper editorials, music he composed as well as his drawings and poetry.
This collection contains slides, videos and published materials on Abe Bassett and the Wright State University Theatre. The slides are of productions Bassett produced during his tenure in the Theatre department. The published materials covers Bassett’s time at the Theatrer Department and the other is an autobiography.
These postcards show different areas of the French city of Cambrin before and after a battle during World War I. In the back of the booklet are two postcard of military cemeteries.
Founded in 1875, the Bavarian Beneficial Society served families of Cincinnati's German community during times of sickness and death. Four volumes of records include membership rolls (listing name, age, occupation, and address), names of officers and trustees, obituaries of deceased members, and reports of the Illness Committee which lists name, age, and address of the individual who was served. The records are in German.
The collection consists of a single Adobe Spark project entitled “Insta Fresh Corona Thyme #COVID19: The Life of an Instacart Shopper During COVID19.” The project includes 11 photographs, with captions, describing a trip to the grocery store Fresh Thyme, while working as a shopper for the grocery delivery service Instacart, near the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis in March 2020. The final photograph also shows damage still being repaired from the May 2019 Dayton tornadoes.
The collection consists primarily of materials pertaining to Beason’s service during World War II in the Western Pacific, including several photographs, a scrapbook of newspaper clippings, and rosters of personnel who also served in the 37th Division Artillery from the group’s reunions. Copies of sketches by Edward J. Dollriehs of the Western Pacific are also included.
The collection includes business materials, meeting minutes, agendas, reports from the various committees that ran the organization as well as some news clippings, brochures, maps, and newsletters created by and about the Beaver Creek Wetlands Association. Also included is membership and volunteer information such as member lists, volunteer activities, membership committees, and volunteer job descriptions.
