Scope and Contents
Series I, Audio/Visual, 1971-2007, contains photographs, proof sheets, slides, cassettes, and other audio/visual materials. The photographs, proof sheets and slides document alumni events and programs. The cassettes, VHS, and HDV/DV provide audio and video of various events and activities organized by the Office of Alumni Relations for WSU alumni.
Series II, Committees, 1973-1997, contains the minutes of the Alumni Association from 1973-1997.
Series III, Correspondence, 1986-1995, contains event correspondence and a letter from Tony P. Hall, former U. S. Representative and Ambassador, to the Wright State Alumni Association.
Series IV, Scrapbooks and Memorabilia, 1964-1968, contains a small scrapbook and various memorabilia from Evelyn Jones, a member from WSU’s inaugural graduating class in 1968. The first subseries in this series contains various items from a scrapbook complied by Shelia Cash who was also a member from WSU’s inaugural graduating class in 1968. Materials include campus ID cards, ribbons, bumper stickers, postcards, commencement materials, news clippings, student government election materials, an early campus camp, and other related materials from their time spent as students at Wright State.
Series V, Publications, 1977-2005, contains programs, magazines, and directories. The bulk of this series are Alumnews Magazines. The alumni directories in this series contain directories for 1992, 1997, and 2005. The directories could be useful in finding old Alumni Association members.
Series VI, Publicity Files, 1973-2017 contains files from 1973-2007 relating to public events that the Office of Alumni Relations was involved in, or arranged. These events included Golf Outings, recruitment receptions, trips, parades, and concerts.

Biographical / Historical
The Wright State University Alumni Association was founded in 1971. The purpose is to foster a fellowship of individuals who share a common institutional interest and to develop a sound collegiate heritage by coordinating activities and services which contribute to the academic, cultural and physical growth of Wright State University. Over the past four decades, Wright State University has awarded degrees to more than 100,000 alumni who have benefited in many ways from the Alumni Association. Since 1994, the Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship program has been providing tuition assistance to students pursuing their Wright State degrees. These scholarships are intended for the families of Alumni Association members and continue the growth of our institutional heritage. The Wright State Alumni Association was recognized with the prestigious Inventing Tomorrow Award in recognition of their 30 years of continuous support and philanthropy to Wright State University.

Abstract
The Office of Alumni Relations Collection contains materials relating to the Wright State University Alumni Association’s efforts to actively engage and support current and future alumni in a lifelong relationship with Wright State University. The collection, spanning the years of 1964-2007, includes university publications, student organization rules, memorabilia, scrapbooks, slides from alumni shows, photographs of recipients of the outstanding alumni award, audio recordings of the Wright State University Band, videos for community outreach, as well as information concerning events hosted by the Wright State University, Office of Alumni Relations.
