Scope and Contents
C.H. is responding to a letter sent by his sister, Nell. He asks about Gertrude and her sinus problems. He suggests that they are rheumatic in character. He leads into a discussion of corns and states that a piece of lint placed between his toes dusted with fine chalk relieves the pain. However, his sister once put beef and vinegar on one, and it never returned.
