Dr. Lewis Hoover graduated from Starling Medical College in 1874. He practiced in Laura, Ohio, for twenty years and was a member of the Miami County Medical Society. The collection consists of records of his house calls and fees, birth certificates, and a personal diary.

Biographical / Historical
Dr. Lewis Hoover was born in 1848. He graduated from Starling Medical College in 1874. He practiced in Laura, Ohio, for twenty years and was a member of the Miami County Medical Society. He married and had three children, two daughters and a son. He died of pneumonia on February 27, 1916.
