Harold D. Crouch, Jr., Papers (MS-654)
Scope and Contents
Series I, Military Service, contains papers and photos documenting Crouch's time in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945. Many of the papers are secondary sources that detail the U.S.S. Knapp's history and its use in the Pacific. Although the secondary sources are not unique, Crouch wrote personal notes on many of them indicating his relationship to the material. Along with this, there are correspondence, ship and crew photos, awards, personal training notes, U.S.S. Knapp newsletters, and the blueprint of a World War II computer system.
Series II, Wright-Patterson Propeller Lab Work, contains documents and photos pertaining to Crouch's time working at the propeller laboratory from 1950 to 1977. Similar to Series I, there are many secondary sources that detail the lab's history and the type of production common to the laboratory. Along with this, there are photos of employees and experiments, news clippings, correspondence, financial documents, technical reports, awards, certifications, and lab notes.
Series III, Other Material, contains obituaries, an Air Corps tech report, a photo of Crouch from 2005, and a few other awards and correspondence that are unrelated to Series I and II.
