Dayton City Beautiful Council Records
The Dayton City Beautiful Council was organized in the mid-1960s as a volunteer adjunct to city government to help make Dayton a more livable, attractive community. Records consist of Executive Board, staff, and membership meeting minutes, and correspondence. Topics covered include recycling, urban beautification, and community planning.
Dayton Civic Music Association Collection Records
The Dayton Civic Music Association was founded in 1940 and presented twenty-eight concert seasons before its demise in 1968. The collection includes administrative records, newspaper clippings, programs, pamphlets, correspondence, photographs, and scrapbooks.
Dayton Civic Theatre Scrapbook (SC-380)
The Dayton Civic Theatre was founded and directed by Edmund C. Wilkes. Most productions were performed at the Dayton Art Institute Auditorium by the Phoenix Players professional theatre company. The scrapbook primarily contains original photographs, programs, and news clippings, as well as some other original documents.
