Scope and Contents
In this two part interview Cynthia Wolfe interviewed Emma Fiszlewicz about her life before, during, and after World War II. In her interview Fiszlewicz details growing up in the Minsk region and moving every so often because her father was a pharmacist helping to open new pharmacies. She later recounts how she traveled to Minsk for school only to be forced to flee in 1941 when the Russians and Germans began fighting. Fiszlewicz discusses her travels from her family home to Moscow, meeting her future husband, and her eventual arrival in the United States.
