Subseries I-12: KURT FISH, 1978
Scope and Contents
Rose Mary Lawson interviewed Kurt Fish about his life before, during, and after World War II. In his interview Fish discusses his decision to come to the United States from Vienna after the Anschluss. In his interview Fish describes his family history, his education, and the increasingly poor conditions he encountered in Vienna while before he left for the United States. He later details being drafted and returning to Europe as part of the United States Army. Of particular note, Kurt Fish later received a printout of his transcript, which he re-edited in September of 1991 to correct a variety of issues.
