Carole Erich interviewed Hans Erman about his life before, during, and after World War II. Erman begins the interview by describing his family history and childhood in Wittlich Germany, his parents' employment and training, and his family class status. Erman also discussed his training to become a teacher, his parents going to a concentration camp, and his travel to Palestine. He also spoke at length about the culture and history of Palestine at the time he immigrated and what it was like to live there. Erman ends the discussion by talking about the impact of his life during the Holocaust on his children and his feelings on Israel.
