Scope and Contents
The records of National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Branch 182 are divided into five series: Administrative Records, Financial Records, General Correspondence, NALC Printed Materials, and a miscellaneous series.
Series I, Administrative Records, contains the minutes of membership meetings between 1917 and 1951. In these volumes, officer and member rolls are also found. Series I also contains a folder of miscellaneous minutes, a Constitution and By-Laws (1972), Proposed Amendments to By-Laws (no date), and an oversize Membership Register for the years 1918-1949.
Series II, Financial Records, contains Cash Receipts and Disbursements Records (1929-1953), and an Accounts Records (1929-1960) which provides the balances of various union funds.
Series III, General Correspondence, fills a single folder and dates from 1946-1960. Much of it originates from the national headquarters and deals with administrative matters and legislation.
Series IV, NALC Printed Materials, contains four files of miscellaneous materials published by the NALC, which date from 1960-1979.
Series V, Miscellaneous, contains three files. The photograph file contains twelve photos depicting employees at work and special events. Some of the photographs are stamped on the back with Frank M.
