Scope and Contents
The collection consists of the original, full interviews between Harry Haskell and several individuals with specialized knowledge pertaining to Katharine Wright Haskell, the subject of Haskell's "In Her Own Wright" podcast. These original interviews were used to create the "In Her Own Wright" podcast, which has 3 episodes. The interviews range from 18 to 70 minutes in duration, with most interviews being between 45 to 60 minutes each.
The interviewees include: Dawne Dewey, archivist and former Head, Special Collections and Archives, Wright State University Libraries; composer Laura Kaminsky and librettist Andrea Fellows Fineberg, creators of the opera "Finding Wright"; Judith Peller Hallett, professor emerita of classics, University of Maryland; Sarah Heald, former curator and planner for the National Park Service, Harpers Ferry Center; Amanda Wright Lane, great grand-niece of Katharine, Wilbur, and Orville Wright; Richard Maurer, author of "The Wright Sister," a book for young readers; Laurie Notaro, author of "Crossing the Horizon," a book about early female aviators; Ed Roach, Historian, Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historic Park; Lois Walker, former Historian, U.S. Air Force (1985-2007); and Cindy Wilkey, associate professor of history, University of Virginia, Wise.
