Subseries I-E: Biographical Files
Scope and Contents
The Biographical Files contain text-based materials concerning specific people.
The majority of the Biographical Files contain surveys sent by the Dayton Daily News and Journal Herald to local political candidates asking for biographical information, such as name, date of birth, place of birth, names of family members, educational background, occupation, religious and club affiliations, etc. The survey responses are often handwritten.
The biographical files might also contain brief biographies, resumes, handwritten notes, etc. They do not contain newspaper clippings or photographs.
