Subseries IV-D: Aperture Cards and Slides, 1967, 1978 - 1999, bulk: 1986 - 1989
Scope and Contents
The subseries Aperture Cards and Slides contains positive film-based images of both people and subjects, as individual frames encased in aperture cards (with associated description on the card) or, to a lesser extent, 35mm slides (with limited description). Most files contain less than 5 images; a few contain several.
Topics vary but some that appear frequently include sports, such as golf, basketball, football, and auto racing (Indy and sprint); food; Dayton Newspapers Inc. (DNI) and Cox Media employees; and food.

Appraisal
This subseries originally included slides and large format transparencies of copyrighted, promotional images for non-local TV shows and movies. These items were weeded out (reappraised) in 2022.
