Markland Dam on the Ohio River (Oversize), 1978 January
Scope and Contents
The Blizzard of 1978 technically refers to the period from January 25 to January 27, 1978, when more than 1 foot of snow fell across the Miami Valley.
However, this VIP file includes any and all snow pictures from the period of January through March 1978 are included here.
This is primarily to avoid future filing confusion; nevertheless, it seems likely that pre-existing snow that the Dayton area had already received over the first few weeks of January probably contributed to and/or exacerbated issues that residents faced during and after the actual blizzard days.
