Frame 23: Dr. Douglas Paul, stands in front of the newly established trauma center at Good Samaritan Hospital. The new trauma program went into operation on July 1st and is expected to dramatically expand the hospital's capabilities for dealing with the 50-150 trauma patients it sees each month. The trauma team is made up of about 25 health professionals that intercept victims of serious accidents as the enter the emergency room and, in less than 20 minutes, ship the patients out to other parts of the hospital that are better equipped for the situation. Frame 25: Dr. Douglas Paul, director at the newly established trauma program at Good Samaritan Hospital, makes adjustments to a space lab monitor that assesses an incoming trauma patient's heart rate, blood pressure, and oxegen level.
