This collection contains the administrative and musical happenings of the Dayton Chamber Music Society over its 64-year history. The collection includes musical performance programs, performance pictures, newspaper announcements, and sheet music used by the society. It also includes their financial records, membership correspondence, and official decree. There are also records of the Society’s scholarship programs, gift records and thank you cards given by recipients. Materials from this collection date from 1953 to 2016. Each series is arranged chronologically.

Series I, Membership, includes membership records, membership lists, membership books, membership obituaries, membership correspondence, membership applications and membership fee records. Materials in this series date from 1954-2015.

Series II, Administrative, includes meeting minutes, agendas, financial records, society correspondence, financial correspondence, informal correspondence, and media coverage. Materials from this series date from 1953-2016.

Series III, Performance, includes all performance programs, special performances, sheet music, and photographs. Materials from this series date from 1954-2015.
