Scope and Content
The collection consists of materials regarding the Woodhull and Patterson families who resided in Dayton, Ohio. The collection is divided into two series.
Series I, Local History, contains information regarding Dayton, Ohio and the surrounding communities. There are several postcards and photographs of the 1913 Dayton Flood, news clippings from local newspapers and booklets, which are arranged alphabetically. The subjects covered are the Oregon District, Burns-Jackson, Riverscape, Piqua Gateway, Dayton Bicycle Club, and Carillon Park. The series spans 1913-1994.
Series II, Family History, is organized by the following four major concentrations: Genealogy, Photographs, John H. Patterson, and Books. The books are arranged alphabetically by title. The surnames of the families included in the genealogical information are as follows: Stout, Mead, Crane, Peters, and Verity. The series spans 1890-2003.
