Abstract
Collection consists of one issue (April 9, 1814, No. 6, Vol. VI) of the Niles Weekly Register. The Niles Weekly Register was one of the most widely read newspapers of its day and provides a great deal of primary source documentation on the War of 1812. This issue is significant in that on page 102, there is an article detailing the federal government's attempt to enlist Native American tribes in Ohio to fight against the British. It mentions Dayton, Piqua, Blue Jacket and Tecumseh.
