Abstract

Consists of 11 letters and postcards written by Bishop Milton Wright, father of the Wright Brothers, to his nephew Charles Harris who lived in Iowa. Letters date from 1901 thru 1916 and cover a variety of subjects including Orville and Wilbur's flying experiments, travels to Europe, family matters, and a description of Wilbur's death and funeral in 1912.

Abstract The collection consist of William Preston Mayfield Photographs of the Wright brothers' first flights; early pilots, early planes and helicopters; photos of Dayton area businesses, homes, churches, and monuments; as well as aerial shots of the Miami valley, downtown Columbus, and the Ohio State University. Scope and Contents

The collection consists of postcards, primarily of Wilbur Wright's time in France demonstrating the Flyer; and photographs (some of which are copies) of flight demonstrations in France and Germany, the Wright B Flyer, and awards and celebrations that include the Dayton Home Days parade in June 1909.

Abstract The Wright Family to Petree Family Correspondence primarily contains letters written by Milton Wright to his niece Estella Harris Petree. The letters describe Wright family news and activities, but more importantly include specific references to Wilbur and Orville Wright’s bicycle business, flying experiments and success, Orville Wright’s accident at Ft.
